Balfin Consulting aims to enhance operational efficiency, foster better work environments, and minimise environmental impact across diverse global enterprises. Despite prevailing scepticism that sustainability is costly and less effective, green strategies can be applied carefully to the specific business needs.
Justin established Balfin Consultancy in 2024. Prior industry roles have included Cummins Inc, where he focused on large scale facilities projects (both refurbishment and greenfield) for manufacturing sites, warehousing and offices. As well of extensive experience of reconfiguring large manufacturing product flows (generator sets, Hydrogen fuel cells and electrolysers), Justin has a deep understanding of the H&S of testing both natural gas and Hydrogen.
Prior companies have included Mercedes Benz (Programme Management and Operational Excellence) and RS Components (Programme Management, SAP implementation and facilities development). Justin’s areas of expertise include sustainability strategies, built environment design and resource efficiency, following BREEAM and LEED principles.
Justin studied Material Sciences and Engineering (University of Surrey) and subsequently a Post Graduate Certificate (PGC) Interdisciplinary Design in the Built Environment at the University of Cambridge. Justin is also a registered Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
With two decades of strategic project assessment and execution, Justin has consistently championed eco-conscious practices while enhancing operational efficiency. Each project and site visit has been an opportunity to add value, innovate, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Balfin Consulting follows the 4C’s of sustainability – Consumption, Conservation, Community and Cooperation.
