Balfin Consulting aims to enhance operational efficiency, foster better work environments, and minimise environmental impact across diverse global enterprises. Despite prevailing scepticism that sustainability is costly and less effective, green strategies can be applied carefully to the specific business needs.

Unlike many sustainability consultants, Balfin was founded by a Chartered Engineer with more than 25 years of owner-side experience delivering and operating manufacturing facilities, warehouses, offices and complex industrial projects.
Justin specialises in resource-efficient building systems, energy infrastructure, and operational decarbonisation. His project portfolio includes delivery of a 435,000 sq. ft BREEAM Outstanding carbon-negative warehouse and 242,000 sq. ft. hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing facility operating at 71% off-grid.
Combining hands-on engineering expertise with strategic design thinking, supported by postgraduate study in Interdisciplinary Design at the University of Cambridge, Justin helps building owners and operators unlock commercial value through energy efficiency, resilient infrastructure, and scalable low-carbon solutions.
We believe sustainability should strengthen organisational performance, not compete with it. The most successful projects improve operational efficiency, occupant experience, environmental performance, and long-term commercial value simultaneously.
